Über 1500 Besucher strömten am Sonntagabend zum Höchster Kirchplatz um die finnischen Gäste würdig zu begrüßen. 1100 TurnerInnen aus dem hohen Norden dankten mit tosendem Applaus.
Die Bürgermusik Höchst eröffnete den Abend mit traditionellen Märschen aus Österreich, was sogleich bei den Gästen und Einheimischen für Stimmung sorgte. Teilweise mit Freudentränen in den Augen sangen die finnischen TeilnehmerInnen unter der musikalischen Begleitung der Höchster MusikantInnen die Nationalhymne ihres Heimatlandes. Die Einradgruppe des Radlerklubs, die Garde der Fasnatzunft, die Turnerjugend und zum Abschluss das Orchester ISOH boten unseren Gäste weitere Highlights aus dem Höchster Vereinsleben. „Wir sind begeistert von der herzlichen Aufnahme im Rheindelta“ so eine der 1100 finnischen Gäste die im Nationendorf Höchst-Fußach-Gaißau untergebracht sind.
Gemeinsam unter dem Motto: „Come together. Be one“ wurde bis spät in die Nacht gefeiert.

Over 1500 visitors flocked on Sunday evening to the “Höchster” church square to welcome the Finnish guests in a dignified manner. 1100 gymnasts from the far north thanked with thunderous applause.
The Bürgermusik Höchst opened the evening with traditional marches from Austria, which immediately created a mood among the guests and locals. Partly with tears of joy in their eyes, the Finnish participants sang the national anthem of their homeland under the musical accompaniment of the “Höchster” musicians. The unicycle group of the cycling club, the guards of the Fasnatzunft, the Turnerjugend and finally the orchestra ISOH offered our guests further highlights from the Höchster club life. "We are thrilled with the warm welcome in the Rhine delta", so one of the 1100 Finnish guests who are accommodated in the national village of Höchst-Fußach-Gaißau.
